St. Louis woman's lengthy struggle for a new garbage dumpster finally resolved

ST. LOUIS - A south St. Louis resident has been struggling to get a new city garbage dumpster for nearly a year. Diana Yenne says she’s just run into brick walls. ”There's this big hole in the bottom of the dumpster, and trash has been spilling out through the alley when it gets emptied," said Yenne. "It attracts rats, mice, feral cats, and other wildlife. It causes mosquitoes and stuff back here, and there’s an odor.” She’s been calling the City of St. Louis since last October. Still, no luck.She called the Your Paid For It team when she couldn’t get the refuse department moving. CLAYTON, Mo. - The Saint Louis Art Fair returns to Downtown Clayton for a three-day event, taking over a couple blocks of streets and giving the city an artsy touch. On Friday, the first of the three days, around 200 booths filled the streets. "It's a nice show,” artist Nicario Jimenez said. “It's a high-quality show."The streets were full of jewelry, furniture, paintings, and statues. Security video captured a couple allegedly stealing around $17,000 worth of merchandise from Target stores in Orange County.The suspects were identified as Analu Gonzalez, 25, and Alexis De Jesus Garcia, 22, both residents of Anaheim.Video from the Irvine Police Department showed the couple ransacking a Target in Costa Mesa on March 3 and a Target in Irvine on April 2.During the Costa Mesa theft, the couple can be seen wheeling a shopping cart toward the baby formula aisle with a child sitting in the cart seat.The couple begins quickly grabbing products off the shelf and stuffing them into a large tote bag in the shopping cart. The Rose Parade, also known as the Tournament of Roses Parade, have begun the selection process for the 2024 royal court. The rose queen and royal court are a special tradition that is a part of the annual Rose Parade that takes place in Pasadena on New Year's Day or on January 2 if New Year's Day falls on a Sunday.The selection process began today at the Tournament House where Royal court applicants in the Pasadena area completed the first round of interviews and answered one question from volunteer members of the Tournament of Roses. BELMONT – Police on Friday arrested a 32-year-old San Mateo man on suspicion of setting half a dozen fires in Belmont.The man was booked into San Mateo County jail on charges of arson, resisting arrest and malicious mischief, the Belmont Police Department said in a news release.An officer found the first of the six blazes burning at an abandoned gas station at Hill Street and El Camino Real around 3:40 a.m. Friday. Crews extinguished the fire, which an investigation revealed was likely intentionally set, according to police.Officers then started to search for a man who was seen in the area before the blaze broke out.During the search, a second fire was found burning on the north side of Ralston Avenue at Christian Drive, followed by a third in the center median of Highway 92 just west of Ralston Avenue.An officer then saw the suspect set two additional blazes on the hillside of westbound Highway 92 at northbound Interstate 280, police said. (KRON) -- According to the Bridge District, an average of 30 people or more die from suicide at the Golden Gate Bridge a year. This week, the death of a missing Netflix engineer was ruled a suicide after his body was found northeast of the bridge. A physical barrier to stop people from harming themselves has been under construction for the past few years. Mayor Matt Mahan tweeted Friday that his plan to build housing at the Cerone Yard is one step closer to coming to fruition.
