ST. LOUIS - The St. Louis Cardinals will activate outfielder Tyler O'Neill from the injured list on Thursday and plan to use him in a starting role immediately, pushing Dylan Carlson out of a starting spot and creating another logjam in the outfield. Cardinals executive John Mozeliak and manager Oli Marmol both confirmed Monday the plan is to use a starting outfield of Lars Nootbaar, Jordan Walker and O'Neill upon his return. Marmol confirmed Tuesday that O'Neill will return in time for a four-game road series with the Chicago Cubs. John Mozeliak says change is coming for the St. Louis Cardinals O'Neill returns nearly two weeks before the MLB trade deadline. Trade buzz started building around the 27-year-old in the offseason. A rash of injuries over the last few seasons, plus some comments from Marmol early this season about his effort, leaves some wondering if the Cardinals might part ways with O'Neill at the deadline. He is under team control through 2024. Carlson has the most ...Fire in bottling plant in Jefferson County is out, minor injuries reported

A pair of record-setting lottery prizes are growing, one Powerball and the other Mega Millions. While your odds of winning either are slim (1 in 24.87 and 1 in 24, respectively), it seems where you live could have an impact on your luck. Since both lottery draw games began in the 1990s, jackpots have been hit hundreds of times — sometimes more than a dozen times in certain states. All but five states participate in Powerball and Mega Millions. Of those participating states, three have never sold a jackpot-winning ticket for either game: Mississippi, North Dakota, and Wyoming. Maine was also on that list until January of this year when a $1.348 billion Mega Millions jackpot was hit. It currently stands as the second-largest Mega Millions jackpot in history, and the fourth-largest lottery jackpot in U.S. history. Maine is the only other state that hasn’t sold a winning Powerball ticket. There are also four states that have only had one Powerball jackpot since 2003 (whic...Top 5 Plastic Surgeons in North America Market to Follow

According to him, we have done all the studies necessary before launching this 19th-century debacle. Perhaps he should take a close look at the results of past local government issues from his years as mayor and compare them to BART and VTA.Two memorable missteps come to mind: 1) Garbage Gate (secret negotiations that continue to cost every household dearly today); 2)The City Hall Rotunda debacle — a totally useless meeting facility that stands as a tribute to poor architectural design, lost space that we continue to pay for.Compare these to BART and VTA whose management structures have caused one to be on the fast track to bankruptcy and the other to be h...Suspect arrested on suspicion of attempted murder in Brentwood shootout that killed 17-year-old

Associated PressLONDON — A red sweater adorned with a flock of sheep worn by the young Princess Diana is expected to sell for more than $50,000 at auction. The playfully patterned wool jumper featuring a single black sheep amid a pattern of white ones headlines Sotheby’s online Fashion Icons sale in September. The 19-year-old Lady Diana Spencer was photographed in the garment at a polo match in June 1981, soon after her engagement to Prince Charles, who was then heir to the British throne.Diana was already becoming a style icon —- and one of the world’s most photographed women — and the moment gave a big boost to designers Sally Muir and Joanna Osborne, who made the sweater for their small knitwear label Warm & Wonderful.A few weeks later, Muir and Osborne received an official letter from Buckingham Palace explaining that Diana had damaged the sweater and asking whether it could be repaired or replaced. The original was returned, showing damage to a sleeve the designer...Antioch claims subpoenaed officers have ‘industrial injuries’ to avoid testifying about racism, alleged crimes
