EAST CHICAGO, Ind. — Three people were injured after shots were fired into a crowd at a car show in East Chicago on Sunday afternoon, police say.Officers say it all happened around 3:45 p.m. at the Stunna Beach Bash Custom Car Show and Sound Competition at Jeorse Park Beach. 2 dead after boat runs aground along Fox River in McHenry East Chicago Police Chief Jose Rivera and a Deputy Chief, who were working at the event, were trying to break up a fight in front of a stage when several gunshots were fired into a large crowd, causing panic among the eventgoers. Chief Rivera spotted the alleged shooter and chased him down after they attempted to flee between vehicles in the parking lot.According to Chief Rivera, the man eventually surrendered and was taken into custody. Police say the man was injured in the altercation and was taken to the hospital, however, it is unclear if he suffered any gunshot wounds. EAST CHICAGO, Ind. — Police say two people were injured and a small child suffered a graze wound after a shooting in East Chicago on Sunday.According to police, the shooting happened while a group of people were having a barbecue in the 3400 block of Guthrie Street. 3 injured after shots fired into crowd at car show in East Chicago Officers say the group was gathered in the area when a person pulled up in a grey vehicle and fired several shots at the group.Police say one person was shot in the arm, another was shot in the leg and a small child suffered a graze wound. WENTZVILLE, Mo. – Approximately 25,000 autoworkers are heading into their third week on strike. Just a day before his 13 birthday, a 12-year-old boy died in a violent car crash after his father, who may have been driving under the influence, lost control of his vehicle and crashed in Pomona early Saturday morning. At least one person was trapped in a vehicle that collided with a building Sunday in South Los Angeles, authorities confirmed to KTLA. First responders with the Los Angeles County Fire Department received calls about the single vehicle accident near the intersection of 111th Street and Crenshaw in Inglewood at around 2:40 p.m., fire officials said. At the scene, crews found one person trapped inside what appears to be a silver Chevrolet that somehow crashed into the commercial structure.
